On August 1st, 2014, Public Service Communications headquartered in Reynolds, Georgia purchased the local cable television and internet system from the City of Forsyth, Georgia.The new company has continued to operate as Forsyth CableNet, LLC.

It is an immense opportunity to be able to serve the people of Forsyth, GA and the surrounding areas with all their entertainment and communication needs. Since the purchase of Forsyth CableNet, we have continued our goal to upgrade and expand the current offerings for the area.

As of today, we can offer our customers 30 Mbps of broadband speed and as always, we strive to bring the most economical packages to your area. Our bundle packages, which include Broadband, Cable and Phone services, are competitively priced to ensure that customers have an affordable opportunity to purchase all three services.

On August 2nd, 1995, DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) high speed internet was introduced as one of Public Service Telephone’s premiere new services and PSTEL.NET was formed as part of Public Service Data, a new subsidiary of Public Service Communications. The new PSTEL logo was created in August 2004, as the market brand for DSL high speed internet services for the Central Georgia area.

Public Service is now in its 4th generation of family ownership and is one of the oldest privately owned telecommunications companies in the United States. It serves 1, 050 square miles of territory between Macon and Columbus, Georgia. While many independent telephone companies have sold out to large corporations over the years, Public Service is proud to have remained independently owned which is what sets it apart from other service providers.
